The Zero Centre is the only dedicated Domestic abuse drop-in centre for women, young people and children in Wirral although nobody is excluded. The Centre provides practical and emotional support to women, young people and children. The projects and activities are aimed at removing social and economic barriers to inclusion and increasing the capacity and employability of women and young people. Additional services include programmes aimed more particularly at breaking the cycle of violence, which can continue from one generation to the next. The Centre based services (one-to-one support, counselling, support groups and programmes) its work with school age children and young people, its awareness campaigns, will over time, make a significant and positive impact on the lives of many people, increasing the number of economically independent women.
